Description
¶1. John Jipson appeals the circuit court's denial of his post-conviction motion for plea withdrawal and resentencing. Jipson argues he did not know the State had to prove as an element of second-degree sexual assault of a child that he had sexual contact for purposes of sexual degradation, humiliation, arousal, or gratification. Accordingly, he claims his plea was not entered knowingly, voluntarily, and intelligently and therefore is entitled to withdraw it. See State v. Bangert, 131 Wis. 2d 246, 257, 389 N.W.2d 12 (1986). We agree and reverse the trial court's order.
